Abstract

This thesis deals with the use of ultrasound in security practice. In the theoretical part are described physical properties of ultrasound. Other chapters are devoted to sources of ultrasound and measurement methods that should be used in the ultrasonic flaw detection. The theoretical part also contains a summary of all areas of security technology, where it is possible to use ultrasound. The practical part is devoted to measuring ultrasonic rangefinder and evaluation of measurement accuracy.
