Abstract
Presented doctoral thesis “Reliability evaluation of technological devices with usage
of wireless data networks” is focused on development and testing of methodology for
technological state digital twin models. Thesis define this new type of digital twin concept
and further define its architecture, which is based on usage of wireless sensor data
networks as an instrument for data acquiring and initial data check from technological
device and use of expert system for diagnosis of technological object’s state. Primary
applicable areaof this new type of digital twin is a maintenance, where can be used actual
technological state for proactive or predictive planning.
Proposed technological state digital twin methodology is presented on energetic
object example - steam pipe-line.The digital twin hardware is based on MIWI wireless
networks topology from MICROCHIP company. Advantage of this technology is low
price, low power consumption, modular structure and possibility to connect wide number
of sensors. The expert system based on NTS department were used to creation of
knowledge part of digital twin. Diagnosis were made off-line on the basis of real
measurement.
Proposed and tested type of technological state digital twin showed new possibilities
in this area and contribute to development of industrial objects knowledge control. Thesis
has character of applied-basic research, where the results will be able to applied as in
operation environment in reliability areas, so the technological diagnosis and maintenance.
Primary result of this thesis is proposition of methodology for creation new type of digital
twin – technological state digital twin of industrial object.
The results could be applied in operation area and could be inspiration for other
research projects focused on knowledge control and industrial internet of things.
