REVITALIZACE AREÁLU BÝVALÉHO ZÁMKU V DOUBRAVĚ

Abstract

The Revitalisation of the area of the former chateau in Doubrava The diploma thesis deals with the area of the former chateau in the village of Doubrava u Orlové. The Baroque chateau, built in 1760 by the Mattencloit family, was inappropriately adapted by OKD to offices, warehouses and flats in the 1960s, which disrupted the historical values of the building. The original historic façade has been stripped of most of its decorative elements and is currently in a very poor condition. At present, the complex is owned by the municipality, has no significant use and is slowly falling into disrepair. The aim of my work is the revitalization of the entire area and the conversion of the existing listed buildings of the castle, granary and former gatehouse with links to education, training and the environment. As part of the supplement to the overall concept, I also propose a new building for the training center. The castle will be used as exhibition and gallery spaces and as apartments with the possibility of use for long-term accommodation in case of crisis. An information center is designed in the gatehouse and a granary with a new pergola extension complements the educational and leisure function of the new center in the summer months.
