Abstract

The subject of the diploma thesis is the revitalization of the chateau grounds in Doubrava. The area of the chateau is today in an unmaintained condition and is partly used for agricultural purposes. There is a baroque chateau from the second half of the 18th century, a granary and farm buildings. The aim of the work is to create a background for the newly created environmental education center, which will refer to the concept of the mining landscape. The establishment of the center will connect the topics of education, culture, history and ecology associated with the surrounding nature. As part of the design, listed buildings will be treated with care, and the new buildings will respect the character of listed buildings. The Baroque chateau as well as the newly designed buildings will serve as spaces for education and workshops, galleries mapping the history of the area, and also as spaces for civic amenities for the general schema_dspacedb. A park will be designed in the area, most of which will be greenery. The central point of the park will be the incorporation of a water element, which refers to the shape of the mining landscape of the Karvina region, which is characterized by a large number of water areas and wetlands. The park will include an area that will expand the possibility of education in nature and also support the holding of cultural events. The whole arrangement of the concept of the area will take into account the views of the landscape, the park will be supplemented by a viewpoint that will provide visitors with a comprehensive view of the mining landscape. The result of the work will be the revitalization of the castle grounds in Doubrava with newly designed buildings that will be used for environmental education and supplementing the civic amenities of this region
