Duševní zdraví seniorů ve vybraných krajích České republiky

Abstract

Duševní zdraví seniorů je oblastí, které je věnováno stále více pozornosti ve zdravotnickém a sociálním systému. S narůstajícím počtem lidí ve vyšším věku a prodlužující se průměrnou délkou života se duševní zdraví seniorů stává klíčovým aspektem jejich celkového blaha a kvality života. Předmět bakalářské práce je zaměřen na zhodnocení duševního zdraví populace starší 65 let ve vybraných krajích. V rámci hodnocení jsou analyzováni všichni léčení pacienti starší 65 let s vybranými psychiatrickými diagnózami v Jihomoravském kraji a Moravskoslezském kraji v letech 2010-2021. V analytické části práce je zkoumán vývoj duševních poruch v České republice a ve vybraných krajích České republiky během sledovaného období. Dále jsou analyzovány údaje o úmrtnosti a výskytu duševních onemocnění u této skupiny obyvatel s následkem smrti. K dosažení relevantních poznatků ohledně vývoje duševních onemocnění je využívána metoda dynamické časové řady. Tyto poznatky slouží k následnému zhodnocení situace v oblasti duševního zdraví a jeho vývoje. V České republice během sledovaného období docházelo ke změnám ve složení populace v důsledku procesu stárnutí, což přineslo prodloužení střední délky života a nárůst počtu pacientů s duševními poruchami. Bylo zaznamenáno, že nejvýraznější tempo nárůstu počtu léčených pacientů ve věku 65 let a více s diagnózou G30 (Alzheimerova choroba) dosáhlo průměrného relativního přírůstku 0,085. Nejčastěji diagnostikovanou duševní poruchou v České republice a ve vybraných krajích se stala F00-09 (organická duševní porucha včetně symptomatických). Zabezpečení kvality života seniorů zahrnují cílené programy, jako je například kognitivní rehabilitace, a zajištění přístupných a kvalitních zdravotních a sociálních služeb.

The mental health of seniors is an area that is receiving increasing attention in healthcare and social systems. With the growing number of older people and the increasing average lifespan, the mental well-being of seniors has become a key aspect of their overall happiness and quality of life. The subject of the bachelor´s thesis is focused on the evaluation of mental health in the population aged 65 and older in selected regions. All the patients with psychiatric diagnoses in the South Moravian Region and the Moravian-Silesian Region at the age of 65 and older between yeats 2010 and 2021 are analysed. The analytical part of thesis examines the development of disorders in the Czech Republic and selected regions of the Czech Republic during the observed period. Futhermore, data on mortality and incidence of mental illnesses in this population group resulting in death are analysed. The method of dynamic time series is used to obtain relevant insights into the development of mental disorders. These findings serve for subsequent evalutation of the situation regarding mental health and its progression. In the Czech Republic, during the observed period, there have been changes in the composition of the population due to the aging process, resulting in increased life expectancy and a rise in the number of patients with mental disorders. It has been noted that the most significant rate of increase in the number of threated patients aged 65 and older with a diagnosis of G30 (Alzheimer´s disease) reached an average relative growth of 0,085. The most frequent diagnosed mental disorder in the Czech Republic and selected regions was F00-09 (organic mental disorder, including symptomatic). Ensuring the quality of life for seniors involves targeted programmes such as cognitive rehabilitation, as well as providing accessible and high-quality healthcare and social services.
