Abstract

This Bachelor thesis deals with design and construction process of crane cable drum which includes inclinable claw clutch. At first, there are methods of crane cable drums storage used from past to present. Main goal of this thesis is to calculate the diameter of cable, to design size and construction of drum, calculation of claw clutch and design and control of drum bearings. Thesis continues with tackle design, calculation of pulley size, design and calculation of fixing cable to the drum, strength control of designed drum axis and strength calculations of all elements used for torque transmission from inclinable claw clutch to cable drum. There is also included production drawing of claw clutch hub and assembly drawing.
