Predmetom diplomovej práce je skúmanie vývoja a stavu kultúrnej krajiny a vidieka v regióne Turiec. Na začiatku sa práca zaoberá porovnaním minulosti a súčasnosti na vidieku, kde sa snaží vyhodnotiť problémy súčasného vidieka. Ďalej pokračuje, na základe analýz a historických súvislostí, na zvolení konkrétneho reprezentanta regiónu – obci Blatnica. Na jej príklade sa snaží poukázať na problémy a vyhodnotiť potreby pre stabilizáciu a udržateľnosť vidieka. V závere sa snaží pomenovať konkrétne problémy suburbanizmu a v praktickej časti ponúknuť možné riešenie, spočívajúce v podporení centra obce, s využitím jeho historicko-kultúrneho potenciálu, a upevnení komunity, návrhom besedného domu a základnej umeleckej školy.

At the beginning the thesis is concerned in comparison of the past and the present of the country, and it tries to evaluate the problems of the current rural area. Then it continues with the analysis of historical context, with selecting of concrete representative of the region – Blatnica. It tries to point out problems and evaluate the needs for stabilization and sustainability of the countryside. At the end, the thesis is trying to name concrete problems of suburbanism and in the practical part it offers results that lies in support of the centre of the village with the usage of the its historical and cultural potential and by consolidation of community, suggesting of the discussion house and the art school.
