Možnosti vizualizácií časopriestorových dát v prostredí WWW na príklade vývoja zástavby Porubského Areálu VŠB-TUO

Abstract

Cieľom teoretickej časti tejto práce bolo vykonať prieskum v oblasti spracovania, ukladania a reprezentácie časopriestorových dát. Bližší rozbor danej problematiky viedol k menším, čiastkovým úlohám. V prvej časti sa práca bližšie venuje zložkám časopriestorových dát. Táto časť charakterizuje rolu časovej zložky v prostredí geoinformatiky a špecifikuje problémy s touto zložkou spojené. Takisto sa venuje priestorovej zložke a možnostiam jej uloženia. Ďalej práca prechádza možnosti vizualizácie časopriestorových dát. Na základe získaných poznatkov, sa práca následne zaoberá webovými vizualizačnými nástrojmi, prispôsobenými pre trojrozmerné dáta. Získané informácie z tejto časti práce predstavujú teoretický základ, nevyhnutný na vytvorenie funkčnej webovej aplikácie. Praktickým cieľom práce bolo vytvoriť trojrozmernú webovú scénu, prezentujúcu historický vývoj záujmovej oblasti. Praktická stránka práce sa neposlednej rade venuje aj historickej rešerši, zvolenej záujmovej oblasti, areálu VŠB – TUO v Porube. Historické dáta tvoria základný stavebný kameň záverečnej vizualizácie. Ďalej sa praktická časť venuje vybraním technológiám, ich bližšej charakteristike a odôvodnení výberu. Nasleduje opis naplnenia priestorovej databázy a jej štruktúry. Nakoľko sa jedná o dynamický typ databázy, v ktorej dáta s plynutím času menia svoju aktuálnosť, logickým krokom bolo vypracovanie metodiky aktualizácie a udržiavania priestorovej databázy, ktorá by mala poslúžiť pre budúcu údržbu systému. Záver práce sa zaoberá funkcionalitou a vlastnosťami výslednej webovej aplikácie. Taktiež je tu možné nájsť vyhodnotenie vybranej technológie, a návrhy zlepšení pre ďalších nadšencov venujúcich sa tejto téme.

The aim of the theoretical section of this thesis was to carry out a research in the domain of processing, saving and representation of the spatio-temporal data. A further analysis of the particular problematics led to smaller partial tasks. In the first part, the work deals with the components of the spatio-temporal data. This section characterizes a role of the time part in the domain of geoinformatics and it specifies problems connected with this part. It also focuses on the space part and possibilities of saving it. Further on, the work deals with the ways of visualization of the spatio-temporal data. Based on acquired knowledge, the work focuses on web visualization tools, adapted for three-dimensional data. The acquired information from this section of the thesis represent the theoretical base necessary for creating a functional web application. The practical aim of this work was to create the three-dimensional web scene presenting the historical development of the area of interest. Moreover, the practical aspect of the thesis is focused on the historical research, chosen area of interest, complex of VŠB – TUO in Poruba. The historical data compose a basic building stone of the final visualization. Furthermore, the practical section deals with chosen technologies, their further characteristics and justification of the choice. The description of loading the database and its structure follow. Since it deals with dynamical type of database in which the data change its actual state in time, the logical step was to work out a methodology of the actualization and maintaining the space database. It should be helpful for future maintaining of the system. The conclusion of the thesis focuses on the functionality and properties of the final web application.
