dc.description.abstract | The focus of the thesis is dedicated to the integration of WABCO OptiTire Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) into one of TATRAs’ vehicles. The introduction and use of TPMS systems has made a significant difference in the safety of the roads due to the rising number of accidents caused by underinflated tires which could have been prevented by the installation of TPMS, moreover, the TPMS has made huge reductions in tires replacements and fuel consumption which in turn contributes in reducing CO2 emissions globally. These effects are researched in the theoretical part of the thesis. The second part of the thesis is focused on the practical aspect of integrating the WABCO OptiTire TPMS into TATRA vehicles in particular the T810 and Phoenix trucks; which has been done due to the rising demand for this type of technology from TATRA clients. | en |
