Odpadní amalgám ze stomatologické péče

Abstract

Odpadní amalgám z oboru stomatologické péče je aktuálním problémem nejen u nás v České republice, ale i v zahraničí. Je už čím dál více známo, že dentální amalgám pro svůj vysoký obsah rtuti, má negativní vliv na životní prostředí a lidský organismus. V práci je popsána charakteristika odpadního amalgámu, jeho složení, výroba i jeho toxicita. Dále jsou zmíněné legislativní dokumenty, které souvisejí s nakládáním odpadního amalgámu v České republice. Závěr práce se věnuje, jakými způsoby se odpadní amalgám využívá, případně odstraňuje.

Waste amalgam from the field of dental care is a current problem not only in our country, in the Czech Republic, but also abroad. It is increasingly known that dental amalgam, due to its high mercury content, has a negative effect on the environment and the human body. The thesis describes the characteristics of waste amalgam, its composition, production and its toxicity. The legislative documents which are related to the disposal of waste amalgam in the Czech Republic are also mentioned. The conclusion of the thesis deals with the ways in which waste amalgam is used or disposed of.
