Improving of the current space of chateau Jezdkovice and its surrounding

A vital part of what represents a city’s character, and a sense of community is its history, culture, and ultimately the constructions for social communications. The monuments and old buildings we can find in a city work as a link to our past. Without a link to the past, we will finally forget about those who came before us. They are an important source of history. They not only illustrate the history of a city but also play a significant role in a city’s cultural and economic well-being. Many old constructions have been preserved and repurposed, working as start-up incubators, galleries, libraries, and cultural spaces for public use. The preservation and renovation of the Cheatu situated in Jezdkovice, a village approximately 12 km far from west of the district town of Opava is the subject of this project. The village was founded after 1220 in the Stebroske district and belonged to the Velehradske monastery. The building of the Cheatu is in Baroque design with a renaissance garden next to it. The Chateau from the beginning of the 17 century has witnessed various transformations from the demolition of some parts, reconstruction, and renovation to the introduction of some new functions. Currently, few spaces of the building are utilized for a small shop, library, municipality office, and a handy warehouse for the needs of the office. The key aim of this project is to improve the current space organization and use the entire space for more adequate functions regarding the futuristic and current needs of the area.

Důležitou součástí toho, co představuje charakter města a pocit komunity, je jeho historie, kultura a v konečném důsledku také konstrukce pro sociální komunikaci. Památky a staré budovy, které můžeme ve městě najít, fungují jako spojení s naší minulostí. Bez spojení s minulostí bychom postupně zapomněli na ty, kteří přišli před námi. Jsou důležitým zdrojem historie. Nejenže ilustrují historii města, ale hrají také významnou roli v kulturním a ekonomickém blahobytu města. Mnoho starých konstrukcí bylo zachováno a přetvořeno, slouží jako inkubátory start-upů, galerie, knihovny a kulturní prostory pro veřejné využití. Zachování a renovace Cheatu v obci Jezdkovice, která se nachází asi 12 km západně od okresního města Opava, je tématem tohoto projektu. Obec byla založena po roce 1220 v Stebrovském okrese a patřila k Velehradskému klášteru. Budova Cheatu je v barokním stylu s renesanční zahradou vedle ní. Zámek z počátku 17. století prošel různými transformacemi od demolice některých částí, rekonstrukce a renovace až po zavedení některých nových funkcí. V současné době jsou některé prostory budovy využívány jako malý obchod, knihovna, kancelář obce a praktické skladovací prostory pro potřeby kanceláře. Hlavním cílem tohoto projektu je zlepšit současné uspořádání prostoru a využít celý prostor pro více adekvátních funkcí v souladu s futuristickými a současnými potřebami oblasti.
