dc.description.abstract | The publication is intended mainly for teaching in the subject "Progressive Forming Technologies", which is the compulsory course in the second year of study in the Master's degree programme "Engineering" at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at VSB – Technical University of Ostrava.
In the case of "Progressive Forming Technologies", students learn about the principles of the main production methods and the relevant professional terms.
The publication lists the procedures for designing technological procedures for the production of machine parts using cold forming technologies (sheet metal drawing, bending and volume cold forming). The publication contains a large number of images and photographs to achieve maximum clarity.
This publication should serve students to get a basic overview of the issues, which will be supplemented with details and further context during lectures and seminars. After studying this publication, the student should know the basic tools and machines, he or she should be able to choose suitable materials, and control the methodology of designing technological procedures for the production of simple components, including basic calculations.
Knowledge of basic technological processes of manufacturing, used in engineering production, is needed to understand modern technologies, which are given attention in the other subjects included in the study plan. | cs |
