Po stopách architektonických děl Dušana Jurkoviče

Abstract

V předložené práci je zpracován všestranný přehled o životě a díle významného slovenského architekta, etnografa a nábytkáře Dušana Sáma Jurkoviče. První část práce je věnována životu Dušana Jurkoviče a jeho profesní dráze. Následně je popsána charakteristika jeho vlastního díla, podněty inspirace a samotné myšlení. Také je zde popsán architektův přínos nejen pro architekturu, ale také pro celkovou společnost. V další části jsou detailně rozebrány konkrétní stavby, které se nachází na území České republiky v časovém sledu tak, jak byly postaveny. Poslední část této práce se zaměřuje na využití významných staveb na území České republiky jako součástí možných turistických tras.

In the submitted work an all-round summary of a life and work of a significant Slovak architect, ethnographer and furniture-maker Dušan Sámo Jurkovič is elaborated. The first part is dedicated to his life and a career. Consequently, a characteristic of his work, motives of inspiration and his way of thinking are described. Not only architect’s contribution to architecture, but also his contribution to the whole society is described. In the next part, particular architectures, which are located in the territory of the Czech Republic, are analyzed in detail. These are analyzed chronologically as they were built. The final part of this work aims at a possibility of making use of his significant architectures in the Czech Republic as parts of potential tourist paths.
