Konvergence regionů Visegrádské skupiny

Abstract

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou nepodmíněné reálné regionální konvergence. Proces konvergence je zkoumán na regionech Visegrádské skupiny. Jsou shrnuta teoretická východiska, která vymezují metodologický koncept konvergence. V práci jsou uvedena obecná východiska regionalismu v souvislosti s pojmem konvergence. Dále je uvedena geneze konvergenčních teorií s matematickým vysvětlením. Práce je zacílena na pojetí beta konvergence, jež je případem nepodmíněné (absolutní) konvergence. Tento koncept vychází z neoklasického modelu růstu. Empirická část diplomové práce analyzuje beta konvergenci regionů NUTS 2 zemí Visegrádské skupiny v referenčním období 2000 – 2013. Beta konvergence je analyzována prostřednictvím regresního ekonometrického modelu, jenž využívá panelová data s tzv. dummy proměnnými. Pro odhad modelu byl vymezen stálý stav EU28. Použitým ukazatelem beta konvergence je hrubý domácí produkt na obyvatele v PPS. Práce ukázala, že k regionální konvergenci v rámci Visegrádské skupiny dochází, a je potvrzen předpoklad, že ekonomicky slabší regiony konvergují s větší rychlostí.

The thesis examines the process of unconditional real convergence. Convergence proces is studied in regions of the Visegrad Group. There is a summary of the theoretical basis which serves as a basis that defines the methodological concept of convergence. The paper presents a general background of regionalism in relation to concept of convergence. Thesis includes genesis of convergence theories with mathematical explanations. Thesis is focused on the concept of beta convergence, which is the case of unconditional (absolute) convergence, and this approach is based on the neoclassical growth model. The empirical part of the paper focuses on the analysis of beta convergence NUTS 2 regions of the Visegrad Group countries in the reference period of 2000 - 2013. Beta convergence is analyzed through regression econometric model makes use of panel data with dummy variables. To estimate the model a steady state has been defined. Beta convergence uses gross domestic product per capita in PPS as an indicator. Conclusion of the thesis indicates that there is regional convergence within the Visegrad group. The assumption of economically less developed regions converging with greater speed is confirmed.
