dc.description.abstract | This article presents the preparation of cimetidine nanoparticles with macrogol 6000 as a stabilizer via liquid antisolvent precipitation method that were designed to enhance the permeation of the model drug through a membrane. Prepared nanoparticles were characterized by dynamic light scattering. The sample with particle size 194.5 nm was chosen as the most stable. Additionally, it was characterized by scanning electron microscopy and Fourier transform mid-infrared spectroscopy. The permeation of bulk and nanoparticle cimetidine was investigated using parallel artificial membrane permeability assay. It was found that cimetidine in nanoparticles permeated through the artificial membrane approximately in 10-fold higher concentration than bulk material. | cs |
