Zhodnocení budoucnosti Bitcoinu a jiných kryptoměn

Abstract

Cílem práce je zjistit, zda mají kryptoměny, převážně Bitcoin, šanci v budoucnu nahradit platební systém. Kromě Bitcoinu jsou v práci zvoleny kryptoměny, jako je Ethereum a Litecoin. K zjištění daného cíle jsou použity nejenom metody analýzy, syntézy a deskriptivy, ale i konkrétnější statistické metody. Jedná se o výpočty, kterými jsou rozpoznány polohové, variabilní i závislostní charakteristiky. Po kapitolách, které obsahují podstatnou charakteristiku peněz a kryptoměn, se závěrečná empirická část zabývá otázkou, zda kryptoměny plní tři základní funkce tradičních měn. První funkci, tzv. prostředek směny, převážně splňují, až na výjimky míst na zemi, kde se lidé dosud s těmito měnami nesetkali. Následující hodnocené funkce dopadly hůře. Jelikož jsou kryptoměny velice volatilní měnou, je velmi těžké je srovnávat s každodenní měnou, kde se cena aktiv vyjádřená např. bitcoinem, neustále mění. Funkce zúčtovací jednotky a uchovatele hodnoty tak nejsou naplno splněny. V závěrečné práci je tak zjištěno, že nyní kryptoměny nedokážou plně nahradit platební systém. V cestě jim mimo jiné stojí regulace vlád i úroveň využívaných technologií. Není však vyloučena možnost, že po eliminaci zjištěných nedostatků, by se tak v budoucnu mohlo stát.

The aim of this work is to find out whether cryptocurrencies, mostly Bitcoin, have a chance to replace the payment system. Next to Bitcoin there are also other cryptocurrencies chosen in this work for example Ethereum and Litecoin. To find out the answer not only methods of analysis, synthesis and descriptive geometry are used but also more specific statistic methods. It's about calculations which are used to recognise and find out positional, variable and dependent characteristics. After chapters which contain significant characteristic of money and cryptocurrencies the final empirical part is about a question whether cryptocurrencies fulfill three basic functions of traditional currencies. Cryptocurrencies predominantly fulfill the first function, so called means of exchange, with an exception of places where people havent met with cryptocurrencies yet. The following rated functions were not as successful as the first one. Because cryptocurrencies are very volatile type of currency it is hard to compare them with classic currencies where the price of assets expressed f. e. in Bitcoin is continuously changing. Therefore function of unit of account and unit keeper is not met entirely. In the final work it was found out that now cryptocurrencies cannot entirely substitute the payment system. Also the goverment regulations and the level of used technology is a hindrance. But after elimination of some drawbacks that were found out there is a possibility that it could replace the payment system entirely.
