Analýza vývoje struktury spotřeby českých domácností

Abstract

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá vývojem struktury spotřeby českých domácností od sametové revoluce. Cílem práce je dokázat platnost Engelových výdajových zákonů spotřeby v podmínkách České republiky po sametové revoluci, které říkají, že s rostoucím příjmem domácnosti klesá podíl jejich výdajů na nezbytné statky. Toho bylo dosahováno pomocí deskriptivní analýzy zjištěných dat ohledně výdajů a výdajové struktury českých domácností, získané z databáze Českého statistického úřadu v rámci každoročního statistického šetření statistiky rodinných účtů. Analýze byly podrobeny celkové výdaje průměrné české domácnosti a podíly těchto výdajů na celkových výdajích na konečnou spotřebu, členěných podle klasifikace COICOP. Z výsledků deskriptivní analýzy a vybraného regresního modelu nebyla potvrzena platnost Engelovy výdajové křivky v podmínkách České republiky. Podíl výdajů na nezbytné statky s rostoucím příjmem domácností klesá jen mírně a nepravidelně, mění se však struktura podílu jednotlivých položek nezbytných statků. Podíl výdajů na potraviny a nealkoholické nápoje a podíl výdajů na dopravu s rostoucím příjmem domácností klesá, podíl výdajů na bydlení a zdraví naopak roste. V České republice tedy Engelovy výdajové zákony v konečném důsledku neplatí, mění se však struktura podílu výdajů jednotlivých položek nezbytných statků a služeb.

This diploma thesis deals with the development of the structure of consumption of Czech households since the Velvet Revolution. The aim of the thesis is to prove the validity of Engel's consumption spending laws in the conditions of the Czech Republic after the Velvet Revolution, which says that the share of their expenditures on the necessary goods decreases with the growing income of the household. This was achieved through a descriptive analysis of the data on expenditure and expenditure structure of Czech households, obtained from the database of the Czech Statistical Office as part of the annual statistical survey of household budgets. The analyzes were subjected to the total expenditures of the average Czech household and the shares of these expenditures on the total expenditures on final consumption, broken down by COICOP. From the results of the descriptive analysis and the selected regression model, the validity of the Engel expenditure curve in the conditions of the Czech Republic was not confirmed. The share of expenditures on necessary goods with increasing income of households decreases only slightly and irregularly, but the structure of the share of individual items of indispensable goods changes. The share of expenditure on food and non-alcoholic beverages and the share of transport expenditure with the growing income of households is decreasing, the share of housing and health expenditure on the other hand is increasing. In the Czech Republic, therefore, Engel's expenditure laws do not apply, but the structure of the share of expenditure on individual items of essential goods and services changes.
