Abstract
This thesis examines the corrosion properties of AISI 316L prepared by modern 3D printing technology. The theoretical part is focused on austenitic stainless steels, technologies of 3D printing and corrosion processes. These presented the production equipment for sample preparation, experimental methods and subsequent image analysis of the samples are in the practical part of this thesis.
In laboratories, the AISI 316L steel produced by the additive method was subjected to test methods that characterized its pitting and intergranular corrosion resistance. The sessile wettability of the surfaces and the free surface energy were determined using the drop method. The results of these measurements can be used for evaluation of the tested material and an assessment of its suitability for using in different field of practise.
