Dostupnost sociálních služeb pro seniory v Olomouckém kraji

Abstract

ABSTRAKT - CZ Bakalářská práce se věnuje dostupnosti sociálních služeb pro seniory v Olomouckém kraji. V širším kontextu práce zkoumá počet seniorů, jejich současné možnosti z hlediska potřeby sociálních služeb, zamýšlí se nad historií v péči o seniory. Cílem práce je zmapovat konkrétní sociálních zařízení pro seniory v Olomouckém kraji a nabídku jejich služeb. V práci jsou zhodnocené ekonomické a sociálními aspekty vztahů seniorů v rodinách a celkové společnosti. Praktická část práce je zaměřena na dva konkrétní subjekty poskytující několik typů sociálních služeb pro seniory v Olomouckém kraji - Charitu Zábřeh a Sociální Služby pro Seniory, Šumperk. Proběhlo šetření o kapacitách, naplněnosti, zásadách, cílech a financování v těchto zařízeních. Práce upozorňuje především na financování a kapacitu sociálních služeb a zamýšlí se nad udržitelností stávajícího systému. Z demografického pohledu práce hodnotí přístup ke generaci seniorů. Práce také poukazuje na souvislosti v soběstačnosti, zachování zdraví a fungující rodiny. Za splnění těchto podmínek je upřednostňována možnost využívání terénních sociálních služeb. Poptávku po terénních službách je možné téměř naplnit a tento typ služby se jeví jako nejlepší řešení pro současné seniory. Byly zjištěny chybějící kapacity v pobytových zařízeních pro seniory, jak ve vybraných zařízeních, tak i napříč krajem. Závěrem je navrženo navýšení kapacit pobytových zařízení v souvislosti s jejich nedostatkem a stoupajícím počtem seniorů. Jako alternativní řešení do budoucna se nabízí zachování zdraví seniorů a tím snížení poptávky po pobytových sociálních službách.

ABSTRAKT - EN The bachelor thesis is focused on the availability of social services for the elderly in the Olomouc Region. The project examines the number of elderly and their current options for social services. The goal is to map specific institutions in the Olomouc Region and the services they offer. The economics and social aspects of the relationships the elderly have with their families and wider society is taken into consideration. In the research part of the project two specific institutions that offer a number of different types of social services in the Olomouc Region are selected and explored - Charity Zabreh and Social Services for Elderly, Sumperk. The research examines the values and goals of the institutionsas well as capacity and financing. The thesis discusses the current financing and capacity of social services from the sustainability perspective. The current perception of elderly in the society is also discussed and it highlights the importance of self-care and strong family relationships. The research suggests that the demand for the field social services can be met and this type of services seems to be the best solution for today’s elderly. However, the thesis found out there is a lack of capacity of the residential social services across the examined region. The conclusion suggests increasing the capacity of residential institutions because of the current shortage and constant increase of elderly population. As an alternative and a future solution, it is suggested to keep the elderly healthy which would result in decreasing demand for residential social services.
