The paper presents a new structural model of the granitoid intrusions of the Moldanubian plutonic complex in southern Bohemiaeast of the town of Kaplice. Valuable archival gravity data were supplemented by magnetic survey and precise profile gravity measurements to better define the gravitational effect of the granitoid body and provide an accurate model solution. Our findings, based on geophysical analyses and modelling, bring new information on the shape and deep structure of the Moldanubian plutonic complex in southern Bohemia. These results are complemented by a tectonic investigation of the Freistadt granodiorite body and the Kaplice Fault. New information on the geometry of the Kaplice Fault plane acquired from Linsser indications is discussed in relation to its possible recent seismic activity. The usefulness of the Linsser indications method for active tectonic studies is demonstrated. This is the first regional study in this insufficiently known part of the Bohemian Massif, providing new information on the extent of granites and their relationship to one of the most significant faults in this area.cs
