Analýza udržateľnosti podniku pôsobiaceho v chemickom odvetví

Abstract

Cieľom diplomovej práce je analýza udržateľného podnikania vybraného podniku z chemického odvetvia, dodržovanie a naplňovanie ESG cieľov a následne porovnanie s konkurenciou v oblasti udržateľnosti v chemickom priemysle. Diplomová práca je rozdelená na teoretickú a praktickú časť. Druhá kapitola práce je teoretická a jej cieľom je vymedziť základné pojmy ako sú udržateľné podnikanie, jeho regulácia, ciele udržateľného podnikania, CSR ako spoločenská zodpovednosť firiem, jednotlivé piliere ESG, obehové hospodárstvo a cirkulárna ekonomika. Tretia kapitola diplomovej práce je zameraná na charakteristiku vybranej spoločnosti, jej postoj k životnému prostrediu a udržateľnému rozvoju, históriu spoločnosti, výskum a vývoj a produktové portfólio. Detailne analyzovaný udržateľný rozvoj sa nachádza v štvrtej kapitole. Piata kapitola je zameraná na vyhodnotenie výsledkov. Udržateľnosť je porovnávaná formou benchmarkingu s vybranou spoločnosťou a s celým chemickým odvetvím v priebehu sledovaného obdobia v rokoch 2017 až 2022. Na základe výsledkov sú stanovené návrhy a odporúčania pre vybranú spoločnosť, ktoré môžu viesť k zlepšeniu udržateľného rozvoja.

The aim of the diploma thesis is the analysis of the sustainable business of a selected company from the chemical industry, the observance and fulfillment of ESG goals and, subsequently, a comparison with the competition in the area of sustainability in the chemical industry. The diploma thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The second chapter of the work is theoretical and its goal is to define basic terms such as sustainable business, its regulation, goals of sustainable business, CSR as the social responsibility of companies, individual pillars of ESG, circular economy and circular economy. The third chapter of the thesis is focused on the characteristics of the selected company, its attitude to the environment and sustainable development, company history, research and development and product portfolio. A detailed analysis of sustainable development can be found in the fourth chapter. The fifth chapter is focused on the evaluation of the results. Sustainability is compared in the form of benchmarking with the selected company and with the entire chemical industry during the monitored period from 2017 to 2022. Based on the results, proposals and recommendations are established for the selected company that can lead to the improvement of sustainable development.
