Porovnání organizace a řízení vybraných sportovních akcí

Abstract

Diplomová práce se zabývá porovnáním organizace a řízení dvou po sobě jdoucích ročníků finálového turnaje basketbalové série PROFI Tour, která vznikla s cílem podpořit rozvoj disciplíny 3x3 basketbalu v České republice. Basketbal 3x3, uznaný jako oficiální olympijská disciplína, zaznamenal v posledních letech významný rozmach, a práce tak reaguje na aktuální vývoj v oblasti sportovního managementu. Cílem práce bylo nejen popsat a analyzovat organizační strukturu, rozpočtová opatření, technické a personální zajištění obou ročníků (Brno 2023 a Praha 2024), ale také zhodnotit efektivitu jejich řízení a identifikovat klíčové faktory úspěchu i slabá místa v plánování a realizaci akce. Výzkum kombinoval metody účastnického pozorování, dotazníkového šetření mezi hráči a polostrukturovaného rozhovoru s organizátory. Výsledky ukázaly rozdíly v přístupu k organizaci – zatímco brněnský ročník vynikal kompaktním zázemím a sportovní motivací v podobě účasti na zahraničním turnaji, pražský ročník nabídl vyšší úroveň prezentace, marketingu a mediálního pokrytí, ale čelil větším logistickým výzvám. Na základě získaných dat byla provedena SWOT analýza a navržena konkrétní doporučení směřující k profesionalizaci a udržitelnosti akce. Tato práce přispívá k lepšímu porozumění řízení sportovních projektů a může sloužit jako metodický rámec pro další organizátory sportovních událostí v oblasti urban sportu, především basketbalu 3x3.

This thesis focuses on a comparative analysis of the organisation and management of two consecutive final tournaments of the PROFI Tour basketball series, which was established to support the development of 3x3 basketball in the Czech Republic. Recognised as an official Olympic discipline, 3x3 basketball has experienced significant growth in recent years, making this study timely and relevant within the field of sports management. The aim of the thesis was to describe and evaluate the organisational structure, budgeting, technical and personnel provision of both tournaments (Brno 2023 and Prague 2024), assess the efficiency of their management, and identify key success factors and weaknesses in the planning and implementation process. The research utilised a mixed-methods approach combining participant observation, a player questionnaire survey, and a semi-structured interview with event organisers. The findings reveal significant differences in the organisational approach: the Brno edition stood out for its compact venue and strong sporting motivation through a qualifying slot for an international Challenger tournament, while the Prague edition excelled in terms of visibility, marketing, and media output, though it faced greater logistical challenges. Based on the data collected, a SWOT analysis was conducted, and specific recommendations were proposed to support the professionalisation and long-term sustainability of the event. This thesis contributes to a deeper understanding of sports event management and offers a methodological framework for organisers of urban sports projects, particularly in the growing field of 3x3 basketball.
