Komparace vybraných investičních možností do vzácných kovů z pohledu drobného investora

Abstract

Bakalářská práce se zabývá investicemi na komoditních trzích se zaměřením na vzácné kovy, konkrétně zlato, stříbro, platinu a palladium. Cílem práce je zhodnotit atraktivitu těchto komodit z pohledu drobných investorů prostřednictvím analýzy vývoje jejich výnosnosti a volatility v období let 2015-2025. Investice do fyzických kovů jsou dále porovnávány s investicemi do vybraných ETF, které nabízejí alternativní způsob investice do komodit. Teoretická část práce se zaměřuje na základní pojmy spojené s investováním a fungováním trhů. Pozornost je také věnována světovým komoditním burzám a charakteristice jednotlivých kovů. Praktická část se zaměřuje na historický vývoj ceny, výnosnost a také volatilitu daných finančních instrumentů. Poskytnuta je také korelační analýza, která nabízí investorům snadnější a efektivnější diverzifikaci portfolia. Výsledek práce přispívá k lepšímu porozumění investování do drahých kovů a jejich postavení na finančních trzích.

Bachelor's thesis focuses on investments in commodity markets with a specific emphasis on precious metals, namely gold, silver, platinum, and palladium. The aim of the thesis is to assess the attractiveness of these commodities from the perspective of small investors by analyzing the development of their returns and volatility during the period from 2015 to 2025. Investments in physical metals are further compared with investments in selected ETFs, which offer an alternative way to invest in commodities. The theoretical part of the thesis addresses the basic concepts related to investing and the functioning of financial markets. Attention is also given to global commodity exchanges and the characteristics of individual metals. The practical part focuses on the historical price development, returns, and volatility of the selected financial instruments. A correlation analysis is also provided, offering investors a simpler and more effective approach to portfolio diversification. The results of the thesis contribute to a better understanding of investing in precious metals and their role in financial markets.
