Hodnocení konkurenceschopnosti vybraného podniku ze stavebního odvětví

Abstract

Cílem této diplomové práce bylo provést zhodnocení konkurenceschopnosti vybraného podniku z odvětví stavebnictví pomocí vybraných analytických metod a na základě zjištěných poznatků navrhnout konkrétní doporučení, která mohou přispět k upevnění postavení daného podniku na trhu. Z důvodu zachování anonymity byl podnik označen fiktivním názvem BETON, s.r.o. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. V teoretické části byly vymezeny klíčové pojmy související s konkurenceschopností a popsány metody a analytické nástroje, které byly dále využity při praktickém zpracování. Praktická část se zaměřila na charakteristiku analyzovaného podniku a jeho dvou vybraných konkurentů. Následovalo komplexní zhodnocení vnitřního prostředí pomocí finanční analýzy, která zahrnovala horizontální a vertikální analýzu účetních výkazů, poměrovou analýzu a také analýzu rozdílového ukazatele čistého pracovního kapitálu. Dále byla zpracována analýza konkurenčního prostředí, a to prostřednictvím Porterovy analýzy pěti konkurenčních sil a analýzy 4C. Makrookolí podniku bylo hodnoceno pomocí faktorů PESTLE, které zohledňují externí faktory ovlivňující činnost podniku. Na závěr byla zpracována SWOT analýza, která propojila poznatky z provedených analýz a posloužila jako východisko pro návrh konkrétních doporučení v šesti klíčových oblastech. Tato doporučení mohou napomoci ke zvýšení konkurenceschopnosti analyzovaného podniku v rámci stavebního trhu.

The aim of this diploma thesis was to assess the competitiveness of a selected company from the construction industry using selected analytical methods and, based on the findings, to propose specific recommendations that may contribute to strengthening the company’s position in the market. To maintain anonymity, the company is referred to under the fictitious name BETON, Ltd. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part defines key concepts related to competitiveness and describes the methods and analytical tools that were subsequently applied in the practical part. The practical part focused on the characteristics of the analyzed company and its two selected competitors. This was followed by a comprehensive evaluation of the internal environment through financial analysis, which included horizontal and vertical analysis of financial statements, ratio analysis, and also an analysis of the net working capital differential indicator. Additionally, an analysis of the competitive environment was conducted using Porter’s Five Forces framework and the 4C analysis. The company’s macroenvironment was assessed using PESTLE factors, which take into account external influences affecting the company’s operations. Finally, a SWOT analysis was carried out, linking insights from the conducted analyses and serving as a basis for proposing specific recommendations in six key areas. These recommendations may help to increase the competitiveness of the analyzed company within the construction market.
