Obchodní vztahy Evropské unie a Norska

Abstract

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na analýzu obchodních vztahů mezi Evropskou unií a Norskem, které i přes nečlenství Norska v EU vykazují vysokou míru stability a institucionálního propojení. Prostřednictvím členství v Evropském hospodářském prostoru je Norsku zajištěn přístup na vnitřní trh EU, aniž by podléhalo všem závazkům plynoucím z členství. Tento specifický model spolupráce umožňuje rozvoj vzájemných vztahů zejména v oblastech obchodu, energetiky, inovací a ochrany životního prostředí. Cílem práce je zhodnotit současný stav obchodní spolupráce mezi EU a Norskem, identifikovat klíčové oblasti vzájemného propojení a na základě provedené analýzy predikovat další vývoj těchto vztahů. V rámci práce je uplatněna kombinace analytické a komparativní metody. Pomocí analýzy dostupných dat, politických dokumentů a legislativních rámců je zkoumána povaha a intenzita obchodní spolupráce, přičemž komparativní přístup umožňuje hlubší porozumění specifikům norské spolupráce s Unií. Práce je rozdělena do tří stěžejních kapitol. V první z nich je provedena politicko-ekonomická charakteristika Norska, která přibližuje jeho hospodářskou strukturu, hlavní vývozní a dovozní artikly a celkové postavení ve světové ekonomice. Druhá kapitola je zaměřena na vývoj vzájemných vztahů mezi Evropskou unií a Norskem, včetně analýzy klíčových dohod, institucí a sektorů spolupráce. Ve třetí kapitole je provedena komparativní analýzu vztahu Norska s EU ve srovnání s jinými státy mimo EU s obdobným postavením a zároveň prezentuje predikci dalšího vývoje spolupráce mezi oběma aktéry. Součástí práce je také ověření hypotézy, že prohlubování spolupráce v klíčových oblastech povede k těsnější integraci Norska do evropských struktur, i bez formálního členství v Evropské unii.

This diploma thesis is focused on the analysis of trade relations between the European Union and Norway, which, despite Norway’s non-membership in the EU, demonstrate a high degree of stability and institutional interconnectedness. Through its membership in the European Economic Area, Norway is granted access to the EU’s internal market without being subject to all obligations arising from full membership. This specific model of cooperation enables the development of mutual relations, particularly in the areas of trade, energy, innovation, and environmental protection.

The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the current state of trade cooperation between the EU and Norway, to identify key areas of interconnection, and to predict the future development of these relations based on the conducted analysis. A combination of analytical and comparative methods is applied. By analysing available data, political documents, and legislative frameworks, the nature and intensity of trade cooperation are examined, while the comparative approach allows for a deeper understanding of the specific characteristics of Norway’s collaboration with the Union.

The thesis is divided into three main chapters. The first chapter provides a political and economic profile of Norway, outlining its economic structure, main export and import sectors, and overall position in the global economy. The second chapter focuses on the development of relations between the European Union and Norway, including the analysis of key agreements, institutions, and areas of cooperation. The third chapter presents a comparative analysis of Norway’s relationship with the EU in comparison with other non-member states with a similar status, and also provides a forecast of the future development of cooperation between both actors.

The thesis also includes verification of the hypothesis that the deepening of cooperation in key areas will lead to closer integration of Norway into European structures, even without formal membership in the European Union.
