Ekonomické a politické dopady participace České republiky na vnitřním trhu Evropské unie

Abstract

Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na ekonomické a politické dopady účasti České republiky na vnitřním trhu Evropské unie. Cílem je na základě analýzy ekonomických svobod zhodnotit dopady účasti ČR na vnitřním trhu EU. Práce je rozdělena do pěti kapitol, včetně úvodu a závěru. Pozornost je věnována integračním procesům vedoucím k vytvoření EU a jednotného trhu, přičemž jsou rozebrány klíčové historické milníky. Dále je posuzována míra zapojení ČR do systému čtyř svobod – volného pohybu zboží, služeb, kapitálu a osob. Svobody vnitřního trhu EU jsou pro ČR zásadní, protože podporují ekonomický růst, konkurenceschopnost a přístup na širší trhy. Na základě dat za období 2003–2024 jsou sledovány změny vybraných ekonomických ukazatelů. Z pohledu ekonomických dopadů lze říct, že integrace přináší ČR pozitivní efekty: zvýšení HDP, stabilizaci inflace, růst přímých zahraničních investic a modernizaci ekonomiky. Politické dopady jsou hodnoceny ukazateli jako míra korupce a veřejné mínění o členství v EU. Je poznamenáno i předsednictví ČR v EU a role eurokomisařů. Pro komplexní pohled jsou použity metody SWOT a PEST analýzy. Výzkumem je zobrazeno, že účast na vnitřním trhu EU má pozitivní vliv na ekonomický růst, stabilitu a mezinárodní postavení ČR. Identifikovány jsou i výzvy spojené s přizpůsobováním legislativy, institucionální transformací a udržením konkurenceschopnosti. Účast na vnitřním trhu zůstává klíčovým faktorem pro dlouhodobý rozvoj ČR v rámci evropské integrace.

This bachelor’s thesis focuses on the economic and political impacts of the Czech Republic's participation in the European Union's internal market. The aim is to evaluate the effects of the Czech Republic’s participation in the EU internal market based on an analysis of economic freedoms. The thesis is divided into five chapters, including the introduction and conclusion. Attention is given to the integration processes leading to the creation of the EU and the single market, with an analysis of key historical milestones. Furthermore, the degree of the Czech Republic's involvement in the system of four freedoms – the free movement of goods, services, capital, and people – is assessed. The EU internal market freedoms are crucial for the Czech Republic as they foster economic growth, competitiveness, and access to broader markets. Changes in selected economic indicators are monitored based on data from the period 2003–2024. From an economic perspective, it can be stated that integration brings positive effects for the Czech Republic: an increase in GDP, stabilization of inflation, growth in foreign direct investments, and the modernization of the economy. The political impacts are assessed using indicators such as the level of corruption and public opinion on EU membership. The Czech Republic's presidency of the EU and the role of European Commissioners are also noted. For a comprehensive view, SWOT and PEST analyses are used. The research shows that participation in the EU internal market has a positive effect on the Czech Republic’s economic growth, stability, and international position. Challenges related to legislative adaptation, institutional transformation, and maintaining competitiveness are also identified. Participation in the internal market remains a key factor for the long-term development of the Czech Republic within European integration.
