Rozvojová spolupráce a pomoc Evropské unie vybraným zemím Afriky

Abstract

Tématem této bakalářské práce je rozvojová pomoc a spolupráce EU vybraným zemím Afriky. Cílem bakalářské práce je zjistit, zda se ve vybraných afrických zemích, které jsou příjemci oficiální rozvojové pomoci, zlepšují podmínky životní úrovně. Pro naplnění cíle práce byl vybrán africký kontinent, který je takřka celý považován za rozvojový, respektive 3 země v něm a to Angola, Etiopie a Zambie. V práci je použita deskriptivní analýza a komparativní metoda, s jejichž prostřednictvím analyzujeme situaci v jednotlivých zemích. V této práci jsme došli k závěru, že jak podíl oficiální rozvojové pomoci ODA, tak i podíl prostředků od Evropské unie v čase nabývá na významu a trend je až na malé výkyvy rostoucí. Dále že vybrané ekonomiky ve většině vybraných ukazatelů dosahují pozitivních výsledků, ať už v ekonomické oblasti tak i v oblasti zdravotnictví, kde jsme si ukázali trendy ve vývoji počtu nakažených HIV/AIDS, či v oblasti přístupu k sanitárním zařízením. Práce tedy analyzovala, že se životní úroveň ve vybraných zemích zlepšuje a poukázala na to, že pomáhat není zbytečné, že s každým zachráněným životem či s každým dolarem navíc se zemím daří přibližovat našemu vyspělému světu.

The topic of this bachelor’s thesis deals with the development assistance and EU cooperation with selected countries. The aim of the bachelor’s thesis is to find out whether the standards of living have increased in the selected African countries which are recipients of official aid. The African continent was chosen to fulfil the aim of the thesis because almost the entire continent is regarded as developing, more precisely 3 countries – Angola, Ethiopia and Zambia. Descriptive analysis and comparative method are used to analyze the situation in the particular countries. In this thesis we have come to conclusion that both the share of official development assistance (ODA) and the share of European Union means are increasingly getting significant and the trend is, with few exceptions, increasing. Further more, the selected economies have reached positive results both in the economic sphere and the health service. The chosen indicators have shown the trends in the number of the HIV/AIDS infected or the access to sanitary facilities. The thesis asserts that the standard of living in the selected countries is growing. It also points to the fact that to help is not useless and that with every single saved life or with every extra dollar the countries move towards our developed world.
