Dopady ICT investic na ekonomický růst

Abstract

V diplomové práci je zkoumán vliv ICT kapitálu na ekonomický růst ve skupinách rozvinutých a rozvojových zemí v letech 1990-2011. Jsou popsány základní pojmy teorie produkčních funkcí a analýzy panelových dat. V empirické části práce je použita Cobb-Douglasova produkční funkce se třemi vstupy (ICT kapitál, NICT kapitál, počet odpracovaných hodin) a model s fixními efekty v prvních diferencích. Odhadované panelové produkční funkce potvrdily pozitivní vliv ICT kapitálu na ekonomický růst, který byl intenzivnější v rozvinutých zemích než v rozvojových zemích. Růst ICT kapitálu byl statisticky významný jako vysvětlující proměnná a také jako součást souhrnné produktivity faktorů. V diplomové práci jsou použity data z databáze TED a pro odhad a verifikaci modelů je použit statistický software EViews 7.

The diploma thesis examines the impact of ICT capital on economic growth in groups of developed and developing countries during the years 1990-2011. There are described basic concepts of the theory of production functions and panel data analysis. In the empirical part of the thesis there are used the Cobb-Douglas production function with three inputs (ICT capital, NICT capital, total hours worked) and the fixed effects model with the first-difference estimator. The estimated panel production functions confirmed the positive impact of ICT capital on economic growth with higher intensity for developed countries compared with group of developing economies. The growth of ICT capital was statistically significant as an explanatory variable and also as a part of the total productivity factor. In the diploma thesis there are used data from the Total Economy Database and for the estimation and verification of the models there is used statistical software EViews 7.
