Mgr. Ing. Radomír Ščurek, Ph.D. The diploma thesis deals with the application of a biometric system that can recognize the gender of persons. The theoretical part contains the characteristics of biometrics, its properties, biometric signal processing and various methods of possible identification of persons. Furthermore, the work is focused on the description of methods of face detection and recognition. The practical part describes the procedure of gender classification using neural networks. The conclusion of the work is devoted to the comparison of the results of all test datasets.
