Abstract

This diploma work deals with a design of drives for traversing of travelling crane. Firstly there is an explanation of problematics of these drives including former and contemporary ways of controlling. The drives are done by asynchronous motors which are connected with a frequency converter and controlling system PLC Simatic S-300. The work also contains calculations of static and dynamic parametres for the correct planning and dimensioning of the motor and converter . There is as well an expanation of the converter function, ways of controlling, description of individual parametres of converter for the used application. Important part of this work is the proposal of controlling ways and synchronization of individual drives which focuses on limitation of jamming of the travelling crane. This was reached by program algorithm PLC on the base of the input data from measuring the instant position of the bridge and requested position. The used PLC system is described as well as are described settings of the hardware configuration, proposal and explanation of controlling program for this application.
