Abstract
This diploma thesis deals with still a frequently discussed subject called the problematics of disturbing light and the appearance of veil brightness. The primary aim of the thesis is to use a spherical network of calculating points for modeling the emission of light flux flowing into the upper half-space from public lighting systems. In particular, the thesis presents an example of a model of village Libivá located in Olomouc region near to city Mohelnice. At first, public lighting systems are fitted with high pressure sodium lamps and with LED lights subsequently. In the end, the two lighting systems are compared in terms of power inputs and radiated luminous flux to the upper half-space.
