Abstract

The subject of this thesis is the design of a spacial and functional skeleton of a locality in the town center of Hlučín. The design both respects and exploits the natural and cultural history potential of the site. It focuses on the newly arising residential structures and also the changes in the existing ones. The design proposes a new public facility in the area - the Hlučín Town (Municipal) Hall - emphasizing the potential for the former chateau park, which was rather unnaturally divided by the Ostravska street in connection with the historical center of Hlučín. A long stay public area is designed for the locality along with a layout of transport infrastructure.
