Abstract

Bachelor thesis focuses on changes in the regulation and supervision of financial market Slovak Republic before and after joining the EU. It is divided into pillars of regulation and supervision, between those included in the work conditions for the award of a banking license, the basic obligations of the bank, compulsory insurance of bank deposits. Basic duties of banks relating to capital adequacy, liquidity adequacy, credit exposure, providing information and protection against illegal practices. The aim of the work is a summary, assessment and evaluation of selected changes in the regulation and supervision of financial markets that took place with the entry of Slovakia into the European Union, later joining the European Monetary Union. The focus is on the analysis of changes in the legal system of the Slovak Republic, which was mainly caused by harmonization with EU law.
