Abstract

This thesis sloves the living standards of contemporary Italy. The thesis uses classical economic indicators , alternative economic indicators and selected areas of social policy. The living standard is also assessed through income and consumption inhabitants. The aim of the thesis is to assess the country's standard of living through these indicators. The practical part is the journalistic view on the topic of the thesis. It begins with an introductory article, which is a kind of summary of the current state of the Italian economy. Interview offers an insight into the lives of ordinary Italian citizen. Poll examined the views of Czech citizens about the standard of living in Italy. Journalism section ends with feuilleton. Through the thesis, it was found that the economic situation improves slightly in Italy, for example in the production of traditional products, Italy is the largest wine producer in the world. But an unemployment rate is still very high.
