Abstract

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to create a numerical model in the SCIA Engineer program of arched steel footbridge with a suspended bridge deck. The pedestrian and cyclist footbridge is inspired by an already existing footbridge across Jizera in Semily. The supporting structure is formed by a parabolic arc and S-shaped curved beams in floor plan. The thesis describes the problems of steel bridges, including the dynamic response of the footbridge. Next in the thesis, a general description of the types of footbridges and bridges, the assessment of main bearing elements and selected joints according to the current ČSN EN standards is elaborated. Part of the thesis is the basic design documentation of the footbridge and the production drawing of the selected part of the structure.
