Abstract

Thema is focused on spatial distribution of Ips Duplicatus in the Czech Republic. The subject has been provided for the Forest Management Institute Frýdek-Místek. Spatial distribution of beetle was first examined in smaller area in this case the forest management Bruntál and procedures were then applied to data from monitoring Ips Duplicatus for the Czech Republic from 2005 to 2007. Data were subjected to exploratory analysis, the normal distribution, structural analysis and evaluation semivariogram and application interpolation techniques in the form of inverse distance weighted, radial basis function, geostatistical methods such as kriging and cokriging. There were monitored number of beetles caught in particular characteristics, such as spruce trees in the region, age of the forest and tree density.
