Abstract

This bachelor's thesis studies the optimum conditions of biosorption of hexavalent chromium using apricot pits. The work is primarily focused on the study of optimal pH aqueous solution, which is an important factor affecting the biosorption process, and it also focuses on the literature search. It also deals with the methodology grain treatment and chemical activation of binding sites on the surface of cell walls with hydrochloric acid. Biosorption kinetics carried out in her thesis Tručková. The results show the best efficiency at a concentration of 2 M, 15 minutes activation time and granularity of 1 to 2 milimetres. Solutions of pH 1-7 were then mixed with samples and shaken for 24 hours. Then it was used spectrophotometric determination of hexavalent chromium with1.5-difenylkarbazid.
