Abstract

Topic of the thesis I have chosen the use of metal foams in the construction of cars. I focused on the production of metal foams, their properties and use in the automotive industry. My thesis is divided into several areas. The first part is devoted to properties of metal foams and their use. In the second part deals with different types of production, which includes cast metal and foam, which I tried to cast in practice. In writing this work I have concluded that the metal foam in the future will be very beneficial material for many reasons such as reduced weight and good absorption of impact energy in cars.
