Abstract
Main topic of my bachelor thesis is calculation of inundation areas in Opava town using HEC – RAS and MIKE 11 software and then comparison of results from each program. First part is theoretical, which contains general description of area of interest, it’s geological, geomorphological description and climatic conditions in the area. Furthermore there are described basics of hydraulic modelling. Second part is practical and describes procedure of modelling and following visualization from both softwares. Conclusion consists of comparison of results from each program.
