Abstract
The main objective of the thesis is to create a laboratory camera tester capable of very fast refocusing using an electrically focusable lens and to capture images of objects at different distances from the lens. Crucial is to perfectly focus these images of objects so that their subsequent evaluation is possible. For this purpose, thesis includes a theoretical background discussing the principles of optics, further explaining some concepts in optical inspection and machine vision. The practical part was based on the design and physical construction of the laboratory camera tester and the description of its individual components. The main components of this device are an electrically focusable lens, a coaxial illuminator, a camera, a stepper motor for object movement and the myRIO-1900 controller. The application for controlling the tester was developed in the LabVIEW programming environment. The created camera tester is a stand-alone functional portable device.
