Abstract

This bachelor thesis is focused on the process of recruitment and selection of employees. Its goal is, on the basis of information received from the personnel departments of OVAK, Inc. and survey methods, to analyze process of recruitment and selection in this company and to propose recommendations that improve the process. The thesis consists of two parts: theoretical and practical. The theoretical part describes the theoretical basis of recruitment and selection of employees, which has been obtained by studying the technical literature. The practical part deals with the characterization of the organization Ovak, analysis of recruitment and selection, and suggestions and recommendations. Analysis of recruitment and selection explains the recruitment and selection methods that are used in company, and ways of sorting candidates, also includes evaluation of selection methods using predictive validity and assessment of the effectiveness of recruitment methods. There is also included a survey conducted by a questionnaire distributed among employees. In conclusion of thesis, recommendations, that could lead to process improvements, are proposed.
