Flotace polymetalických rud z lokality Zlaté Hory

Abstract

This thesis deals with the flotation possibilities of polymetallic ores poor in utility components. A sample representing poor polymetallic sulphide ore was taken in the deposit area of Zlaté Hory - East. After analyzes of the homogenized test sample, the presence of pyrite, sphalerite and chalcopyrite with a predominant content of silicates predominantly in quartz was detected from ore minerals in descending order. The quartz content of the sample was reduced by the heavy-liquid separation method. After the quartz content was reduced, Cu-Zn-FeS2 concentrate was subjected to flotation procedures focusing on a more significant zinc content. An exemplary flotation foam was achieved with the application of a readily available xanthate group. This resulted in a 94 % flotation process efficiency with a 97 % Zn recovery to concentrate at 98% Fe recovery to waste.
