Velikost stínové ekonomiky v severských zemích a zemích Visegrádské skupiny

Abstract

The aim of this thesis is to measure the size of the shadow economy, to determine which factors affect it and to evaluate the impacts of selected factors on the size of the shadow economy in the Visegrad Group Countries and the Nordic countries. The thesis is divided into three chapters. The first chapter of the thesis deals with the theoretical foundations of shadow economy. In this part is described the shadow economy itself, but also its causes, consequences and measures to fight this phenomenon. The second chapter of theses describes the various methods of measuring the size of the shadow economy. In the third chapter of the thesis author estimated size of shadow economy in the Czech Republic for the period 2004 to 2016, using the Gutmann´s monetary method. However, this chapter focuses mainly on the analysis of the size of the shadow economy and its factors in the Visgrad Group Countries and the Nordic countries.
