Analýza portfolia dodavatelů automobilové společnosti

Abstract

The thesis is focused on the Supplier Portfolio Analysis of the company Continental AG. Due to the complexity of the company has been chosen for further analysis only subsegment of Temperature sensors of the division called Powertrain. The main purpose of the thesis is to identify White Spots of: supplier’s portfolio per particular material category due to the lack of diversification or White Spots regarding the supplier localisation strategy. The analysis offers a comparison of two major locations: Frenštát pod Radhoštěm and Changchun. To obtain any output of the analysis there were used these methods: ABC analysis, White Spot analysis, supplier mapping analysis and prediction of the development. The main purpose of the thesis is to create a more efficient solution for purchasing management. The thesis can be considered as a key document for strategic purchasing function which is responsible for creating and implementation of strategies. The thesis can be used for an elimination of the risk regarding low diversification of supplier portfolio, to achieve better conditions for further coming acquisitions or to improve processes during a supplier sourcing.
