Abstract

The aim of this thesis is to introduce information systems, modules to support strategic management. In the beginning I wanted to explain a few terms, ie. explain the basic data such as information, data, systems, management, strategic management, etc. This is followed by analysis of enterprise information systems, ie. description of the ERP system as the core ERP system and other modules important explanation for the enterprise, for his decision. The final part is a description of three modules of SAP R/3 7.20 in Třinecké železárny, a. s., as a final summary of the strengths and weaknesses of information technology.
