Abstract

The thesis deals with the using of electrolysis in some methods and processes today and in the past. The main purpose of this work is to describe the using of electrolysis in hydrometallurgical processes. The first part of this thesis is about principle of electrolysis, history, formation and use in a number of processes, especially in chemical and engineering industry. Another part of this thesis deals with the use of detailed description of the electrolysis in the hydrometallurgical processes, such as surface modification of metallic materials. This section also describes methods for electrolytic refining and production of some metals, such as aluminum or nickel to be.
