Abstract

This thesis deals with the issues of a control of sorting cars , which are used for the preparation of a metal charge in the metallurgical and foundry industry, using PLC. It focuses on the evaluation of options and the design of a management system. It also deals with the use and design of new hardware for the control of drives by frequency converters, including the design of modern components of the weighing system and the selection of a suitable programmable controller with the possibility of expansion with the required peripherals. Thanks to these peripherals, fully automatic operation of the sorting wagon and batch preparation according to the specified recipe is enabled. This monitors the quality of the resulting melt. In fully automatic mode, the speed of this preparation with feedback statistics should be improved and everything will use modern security features.
