Abstract
This thesis deals with the problem of mine water mixing with surface water of receiving still waters, into which the mine water is discharged in controlled or uncontrolled regime. The mine water is characteristic by its high content of sodium chloride and thus it has a good electrical conductivity. This property is experimentally used to detect the mine water in surface water. For this purpose it is suggested to measure the electrical conductivity of surface water directly in the receiving river by conductometer. The influence of mine water and the homogenization of surface waters have been studied in “Main water discharge reservoir” in Ostrava-Heřmanice and flooded terrain-subsidence in Kozinec (part of the Doubrava u Orlové village), where the mine water is discharged (in the first case for controlled release and in the second case uncontrolled seepage of mine water into surface water). There are 4 in time different sets of measurement of electrical conductivity completed, accompanied by several comparative point measurements over a longer period of time. The result is: how is homogenized surface water after mixing with mine water, at what level, the overall mineralization of the mixture; conclusions are also part of the reasoning that leads to negative effects on the fish population.
