Abstract

This thesis deals with the issues of disposal of sludge from sewage treatment plants and their utilization. It focuses first on the characteristics of the sludge and the conditions of its creation. There are also described methods of wastewater treatment and sludge treatment during the final sludge management. An important part is the specification of methods of processing and utilization of sewage sludge. The sludge is most often used as fertilizer, fuel, reclamation material, and in recent years as a potential construction material.The last part of this thesis is a summary of the most important laws dealing with sludge from sewage treatment plants.
