Abstract
The thesis defines the basic safety requirements for the construction of a high-pressure gas pipeline. It deals with work activities during the reconstruction and construction of a new high-pressure gas pipeline, it is excavation, construction, handling and welding works. It discusses the obligations of contractors and subcontractors. At the end of the thesis there are proposed safety measures resulting from the most dangerous work activities on the construction site.
